Here at Battlefield Falconry Centre we will be continuing with our activities for as long as we can until we are informed otherwise. We wish to reassure our Customers that we will take every opportunity to maintain cleanliness at all times.
It is recommended that you follow the advice as issued by the NHS and the Government during your time with us to help contain the virus and prevent it spreading further.
The recommendations are:-
- Firstly do not attend if you have been in contact with anyone who currently has the virus.
- Secondly, do not attend if you have a continuous cough or flu like symptoms.
- Wash hands regularly for 20 seconds and use hand sanitiser if available – unfortunately we have not been able to purchase any since the out-break of the virus however, there are wash room facilities at the 1403 Farm Shop & Cafe.
- Cover your mouth and nose with your sleeve – not your hands – when you cough or sneeze – used tissues should be put in a bin.
- Keep an acceptable distance from other customers.
- We want you to get the best from the experience with us therefore we ask that you refrain from focusing on the media stance regarding the virus so that everyone can enjoy their time here at the Centre.
Thank you for taking the time to read this notice and for your understanding.
Mark and Staff at Battlefield Falconry Centre
Dear Mark,
I hope you are all well and managing to stay safe in this current climate.
I purchased 2 Hawk Walk Experiences for my husband a Christmas present.
We were waiting for the better weather to book for the Hawk Walk but, sadly, find ourselves in the midst of this Coronavirus pandemic.
Could you please advise me as to new guidelines regarding booking for the walk and your policy as I imagine by the time we are all able to continue as normal our vouchers will be expired.
Many thanks,
Annette Preece
Hi Annette,
I’m good thank you for asking. Hope you are too.
As you’re probably aware due to the social distancing imposed upon us all I am unable to complete activities at this time. The voucher expiry dates will be extended indefinitely and I intend to resume Hawk Walks as soon as the Government removes the lock down we’re currently in. I wish you well and hope to see you in the very near future.
Kind regards
Mark
Hi would you do bird of prey for an eleven yr old. Who adores all raptors.
If so what would you recommend 😁
Thank you
Claire Jones
Hi Claire,
Thank you for your enquiry.
We do a one hour bird of prey experience where we fly a Harris Hawk for 30 minutes then spend time with some of the Owls for the second 30 minutes. Or we do the 2 hour bird of prey experience.
With any activity for children we require a paying adult to accompany them.
The charges are:-
1 x hour : £50 per adult, £35 per child
2 x hour : £80 per adult, £45 per child.
If you require further details Mark will be happy to discuss the activities with you. He can be contacted on 07866 926184.
Kind regards
Val
